From 9 am to 4pm

Location: Windsor Park Collegiate – 1015 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, MB

Competitors:

We would encourage all skill levels to compete and we should have a competitive category for all levels.
We also would like to see more competitors in the following categories:
* Kids
* Students
* Female competitors
* Beginners (little or no BJJ training) such as wrestlers, Judo practitioners, football players and any other sport suitable for Submission Grappling.

The goal is to compete and have a lot of fun.

Registration:

All participants must sign a Waiver in order to participate.
Registrations will NOT be accepted after 8:30 am on the day of the tournament.

Weigh Ins:

Friday, October 15th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Team Canada MMA Centre (349 Wardlaw)

The tournament took place from July 22nd until July 25th in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.

Members of Munduruca BJJ competed in the tournament and had great results.

Jeff Herkimer competed in the Senior 1 Super-Heavy weight Blue Belt Division and got the Gold Medal.

Rodrigo Munduruca - Gold Medal

Rodrigo Munduruca - Gold Medal

Rodrigo Munduruca competed in the Master Ultra-Heavy weight Black Belt and in the Master Open weight Black Belt divisions getting the First Place in both.

Jerin Valel competed in the Master Light weight Brown Belt Division and Curt Mckinnon(Beach) competed in the Master Light weight Purple Belt Division. They both had tough fights ending up loosing by few points/advantages.

On May 15th and 16th 2010, the Brazilian National Jiu Jitsu Championship took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Rodrigo Munduruca(Munduruca BJJ) got the Gold Medal at the tournament after 4 fights in the Super-Heavy weights category.

On Saturday, May 15, six members of the Munduruca BJJ Team competed in the Greater Midwest Submission Hunt in Champlin, Minnesota.

The tournament hosted over 300 competitors on 8 mats.

Munduruca BJJ represented well coming home with 3 golds, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze!

Congrats to everyone who competed and big thanks to Minnesota Martial Arts Academy for hosting a great tournament!
